Computing Issues in Hybrid Wireless Networks

In the conventional application scenario like military, Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) are appealing successful. But more research is desirable when for emerging applications, MANET evolve as an amalgam together with popular networks like cellular networks, Internet, or Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), thereby forming the hybrid networks. Different networks have different issues and hence various protocols may be suitable in different application areas. The size and components of the hybrid network and the frequency of the change in topology are factors that affect the choice of the computing protocols. The energy issue is the major in most of the current networks. This paper presents the issues related to energy efficient computing in hybrid networks. The current goal is to propose an optimal stochastic model for energy efficient computing among various heterogeneous networks.
